Joe Peartree Course Development Manager

Joe is a real "foodie". He has spent 16 years as a professional chef whilst always having one foot in the natural world. His food utilizes what is seasonal and local including items that can be foraged from the wild. Tired of being stuck in a hot kitchen whilst looking out the window onto a beautiful day, Joe decided to get qualified in countryside management which progressively sparked his love of bushcraft, the ancient way of living and survival practices. This eventually led to a career change to teach others these fascinating subjects.

Joe is currently studying primitive technology, survival techniques and tracking, trapping and hunting in an effort to broaden his level of expertise. He is also in the process of getting a GNAS level archery coaching certificate as when he is not cooking or bushcrafting, hes shooting down the fields.

Why us?

We don't run hard core survival courses although some of our programmes are quite challanging. Our aim is to get people back out into nature and the outdoors and enjoy all the benefits it has to offer. We deliver a wide range of courses to suit all abilities and especially children whome all to often lack the space or opportunity to reconnect with nature. Where possable we accredit our courses through LASER Awards or through the ITC. Offering clients a clear path through their learning experiance to new opportunities of work and play. All our instructors undergo rigerous training and are either already or studying to be qualified teachers and assessors. For all of our staff and directors this is not just a job but a passion and a way of life!
